Why Operators Choose Aero-Mach to Repair and Overhaul their Aircraft Instruments & Fuel System Components
An Industry Leader in Aircraft Instrument and Fuel System Component MRO
Aero-Mach Offers Dual Release Certification
All aircraft components will be returned to service with a dual release: FAA Form 8130-3 and EASA form one. The 8130-3 indicates that the part has been returned to service as per FAA regulations and in accordance with data approved by the administrator. A Dual Release expands this approval by certifying that the work performed also complies with EASA (European Union Aviation Safety Agency) requirements as well.

Qualified Aircraft Component Overhauls and Repairs
What is a Part 145 Repair Station and why is it important for MRO work? A Part 145 Repair Station is an approved repair facility approved by the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA). The FAA has certified Aero-Mach Labs to perform specialized repairs, inspections, alterations and overhauls on aircraft instruments, accessories and fuel system components for your aircraft. When you receive your repaired component back from Aero-Mach, you’ll receive FAA documentation and traceability that you can rely on for regulatory compliance and long-term maintenance planning. Competitive Pricing for Aircraft Component Overhaul and Repairs
When you send us an aircraft part for MRO work, we will provide you with an estimate within three days after it arrives. We offer fair pricing for high-quality work that keeps you flying. When looking at your quote, it can help to understand the differences between these three different pricing models – Repair, Overhaul and Exchange.
Repair
The repair option is just that…we fix what is broken and ensure the instrument or accessory meets the manufacturers’ specifications for operation. We perform minimal cleaning to make the repair and return the unit to service. All of the repair services that Aero-Mach Labs will perform comes with a 90-day warranty for the components replaced.
Overhaul
If you opt for the overhaul of your unit, you will receive all of the services in the repair in addition to any preventative maintenance. Whether it is replacement of certain parts per the manufacturers recommendations or cleaning and servicing in accordance with AC 43-13B, Aero-Mach Labs will thoroughly inspect and service your component to insure maximum reliability and performance.
We will use our state of the art printing process to renew the dial and markings to restore its appearance to like new condition. All units that Aero-Mach Labs overhauls carry a 12-month unconditional warranty (excluding impact or electrical damage).
Exchange
In most cases, we can offer you a standard overhaul exchange unit from our exchange pool of inventory. These units have been overhauled using the same approach that we would take with your unit. This allows the operator to get back into the air as fast as possible. We will take your failed unit in exchange for an overhauled and serviceable unit.
We can offer these exchange services before we evaluate your unit. We will charge an exchange fee for the replacement unit and then issue you a bill-back based on any over and above discrepancies found during their core’s repair.
All quotes from Aero-Mach Labs will include the option for Repair, Overhaul or Exchange unless the manufacturer stipulates a certain service.

We Own Your Instrument Lifecycle
Sustaining engineering has become an increasingly valuable service within the aviation MRO industry, especially as many aircraft platforms continue flying long after their original production has ended. As avionics, instruments and mechanical systems age, manufacturers often discontinue parts, documentation, or technical support.
Aero-Mach’s team helps to bridge this gap by creating long-term solutions that keep fleets viable, safe and economically practical. We offer rapid prototyping, project management, DO-160 testing and DO-178 software development and testing services as part of our engineering projects.
Our engineers are trained in HALT (Highly Accelerated Life Testing) and HASS (Highly Accelerated Stress Screening) and have design experience in working with a variety of countries and OEMs. We don’t just repair and overhaul your instruments; we can help you create new ones that meet or exceed the original.
Obsolescence management also can help to extend component service life. Aero-Mach engineers study failure trends, redesign weak points, improve materials and implement enhanced test and calibration procedures that exceed original OEM specifications. These improvements not only restore functionality but can also increase reliability and reduce long-term maintenance costs for operators like you.

Aviation MRO Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
What is the Warranty for Aviation MRO Services at Aero-Mach?
Our warranty is 12 months on Overhaul (OH) and Exchange items and 90 days on repairs.
Can Aero-Mach Labs Turn My Unit in One Day?
Yes, most of the time we can offer an exchange unit to replace your non-serviceable unit. If we do not have an exchange and workflow permits, we can often repair your unit the same day it arrives and ship it back out to you. Contact one of our customer service agents for a Return Material Authorization (RMA) number to start this process. **Note: Subject to current workload demands and service limitations stipulated by the manufacturer.
What does MRO Stand for in Aviation?
Maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) serves as the backbone of aviation reliability. Aircraft maintenance includes routine tasks performed to prevent issues before they arise, while repair addresses failures or discrepancies that occur during operation. These can range from fixing faulty instrument indications to restoring damaged fuel system components or bringing malfunctioning accessories back to serviceable condition.
When Aero-Mach Labs performs an overhaul service, technicians often perform a complete disassembly, detailed inspection, refurbishment, replacement of worn parts, and thorough testing to return a component or system to “like new” condition.
What is the Nickname for the Six Basic Aircraft Instruments?
The “6 pack flight instruments” allow pilots to control an aircraft safely in both visual and instrument flight conditions. The six pack includes the airspeed indicator, attitude indicator, altimeter, turn coordinator, heading indicator (directional gyro) and vertical speed indicator. Together, they give pilots a complete picture of the aircraft’s motion, orientation and performance, even when outside visual references are unavailable.
